Product Overview

Teak Magic is a two-part teak restoration and brightening system. Part 1 (Alkaline) is applied first to lift and open the grain, followed by Part 2 (Acid) to neutralise, brighten, and restore the natural colour of the teak. Both parts are non-hazardous organic compounds classified as GRAS (Generally Recognised As Safe) by the FDA.

Both parts are classified as Not Classified under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 [CLP]. No hazard symbols, signal words, or hazard statements are assigned.

Section 3 — Composition / Information on Ingredients

The identity of these materials is trade secret (29 CFR 1910.1200(i)). Proprietary ingredients are non-toxic and meet FDA regulation 21 CFR 170.3 definitions as GRAS ingredients that can be used as food ingredients. No additional hazardous ingredients are present.

Section 4 — First-Aid Measures (Both Parts)

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

Eyes: Flush with water for at least 15 minutes holding eyelids open. Call a physician if irritation persists. Remove contacts after first 5 minutes if worn.

Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash exposed area with soap and water for at least 15 minutes. Launder clothes before reuse. Call a physician if rash or symptoms develop.

Ingestion: May cause loose stools. Drink 2–3 glasses of water and consult a physician immediately. Do not induce vomiting.

Potential Health Effects: Low hazard for usual industrial handling. Inhalation, eye, and skin irritation may occur. No chronic health information found.

Section 6 — Accidental Release Measures (Both Parts)

Keep unnecessary personnel away. Stop leak if possible without risk. Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, basements or confined areas. Small spills: absorb with non-reactive absorbent and place in labelled containers. Large spills: prevent from entering sewers or waterways. Do not return spills to original containers. Neutralise with water or soda ash per local, state and federal regulations.

Shelf Life: No known limit. Recommended: Use within 1 year.

Storage: Keep in a closed container away from incompatible materials for increased shelf life.

Statement of Compliance

Teak Magic is readily biodegradable and is comprised of environmentally responsible raw materials and non-hazardous chemicals. Its components meet or exceed the highest global environmental regulatory requirements and are fully compliant with the standards of MARPOL Annex III and MARPOL Annex V. Teak Magic is free from harsh and harmful chemical ingredients, making it safe to discharge into water at both full concentrate or with wash water without harming the marine environment. This product is NOT a marine pollutant.
